OOTD - Neon

Her er endnu et outfit fra sidste uge, ja, det kom faktisk også på igår, bare uden strømperne, for det er jo ret varmt lige nu ;-)

Dem der følger med på Facebook, har set den neon gule top fra New Look før (dem der ikke følger mig, gør da lige det nu! ;-)). Den er i virkeligheden ret lang, men jeg kan bedst lide den stoppet ned i nederdele/bukser. Ryggen er også ret interessant, men det kan man desværre ikke se på billderne.

Here is another outfit from last week, I did actually also wear it yesterday, just without the tights, because summer is FINALLY here.

Those of you who follow me on Facebook has seen the neon yellow to before (those of you that don't, go do it now! ;-)). It is quite long, but I like it best when it is tucked in. The back is also quite interesting, but that is not seen in the pictures unfortunately.

Jeg besluttede mig for at mikse farverne lidt og jeg er ret glad for resultatet. Jeg synes det turkise og neongule går virkelig fint sammen. Det er lidt uventet, men det fungerer. Miniskørtet har også en ret interessant bølgestruktur. Det er svært at se på billederne, men det kan ses lige her på newlook.com.

I decided to mix things up a little with the colours and I am quite pleased with the results. I think the turquoise and the neon yellow are really nice together. It is a little unexpected, but it works. The mini skirt has an interesting texture as well. Difficult to see on the pictures, but you can have a look at it right here at newlook.com.

Sneak peak - Accessories

Jeg havde mistet mit kamerakabel her i sidste weekend, så jeg har ikke kunne overføre billeder til computeren, men nu dukkede det op (hos min søster) og så kan jeg endelig vise jer nogle af den sidste uges outfits! Her kommer lige et lille sneak peak af nogle af de accessories jeg har haft på til mine outfits. Ofte er det virkelig tilbehøret (og skoene!) der rykker et oufit fra lidt kedeligt til fantastisk.

I have been with out the cable to my camera the past week or so, so I have not been able to get the pictures on to the computer, but it has resurfaced (at my sisters) og I can finally show you some of the last week's outfits! Her is a little sneak peak of some of the accessories I have worn with my outfits. Often it is really the accessories (and the shoes!) that moves an oufit from drap to fab.

OOTD - Hot pink

Her er et outfit fra i går. Jeg havde en middag efter arbejde, så jeg tænkte at jeg godt kunne slippe afsted med lidt ekstra glam på sådan en mandag ;-) Og helt ærligt, hvorfor skulle man ikke glamme hverdagen lidt op! Generelt har jeg en meget afslappet holdning til hvad der er hverdagstøj og hvad der er festtøj. Ok, måske jeg ikke tager en gulvlang aftenkjole på på arbejde, men jeg er ofte en smule overdressed til hverdag. For det er jo ærgerligt at have så meget fint tøj, som sjældent bliver luftet ikke?


Here is an outfit from yesterday. I had a dinner after work, so I thought a little extra glam would be ok on a Monday ;-) Come on, why shouldn't you glam up everyday life a bit! In general I have a very liberal attitude to what is everyday wear and what is party wear. Ok, maybe I don't wear a floor length ballgown to work, but I am often slightly overdressed. I think it is such a shame to own all those pretty clothes that is never worn, right?

Jeg er blevet rigtig glad for at have mit hår sådan her. Jeg synes det er så fint og en nem måde at få ekstra fylde til et lidt fladt skandinavisk hår. Jeg laver krøllerne med mit GHD glattejern. (Instrukstionsvideo kan findes på youtube) derefter tager jeg en børste og reder det igennem hurtigt en enkelt gang for at få krøllerne lidt mindre perfekte. Derefter krammer jeg lidt voks i, så det holder. Og masser af hårlak selvfølgelig ;-)

I really love wearing my hair like this at the moment. I think it looks so nice and it is an easy way to get extra volume for fine Scandinavian hair. I do the curls with my GHD straightener. (Instruction video can be found on youtube). When I have made the curls, I quickly comb it through with a brush to get the curls less perfect. Then I put in some wax to keep it in place and lots of hairspray of course ;-)

Hi guys,

Yesterday I was lucky enough to get an invitation to a fabulous fashion week event; the launch of Carmakoma's new sublabel Lab27. The clothes are of course beautiful, as you will see from the pics I wil be posting later this weekend.And the philosophy behind the brand is great. A line that is inclusive rather than exclusive. So stay tuned...

For the event I wore black, something I have done a lot lately. But this time I decided to spice it up with a splash of colour.

I know I have said this time and time again, but it can never be repeated too much: just because you are a plussize it does not mean that straight size labels are off limits too you. You just need to find the generous brands and the styles that you can make work. By Malene Birger is a Danish designer brand, it is really beautiful clothes, very feminine and flattering to curves. The larger sizes are quite genereous and I can (depending on the style) often fit into an XL (EU44/UK16/US18) which is their biggest size.

I still think that all brands should go higher, but until that happens (yeah right! ;-)) I will do my best to make it work anyway. I don't want to limit myself when it comes to fashion!

OOTD - Blue suede shoes

Hi guys,

Here is my outfit from today. I got back from the US yesterday and as usual my suitcase has just exploded all over my apartment. I must do laundry one of these days ;-) Luckily I could break in some of my new purchases this morning.

 Details of the skirt. It has sequins only in the front, the back is all jersey. I like the mix of sporty and sparkles with the pockets, the jersey and the drawstring waist.

Back from Boston

Hi Guys,

I have been in Boston the past week on a conference, but I had a little time to shop anyway. I had actually planned that I could live-blog some of my shopping, but I forgot the cable to the camera. Oh well, here is some of my purchases and a lovely picture of the Boston skyline (not by me, as I did not get a chance to get on the water).

I will definitely go back to Boston for vacation some time, it was such a lovely city. Small but big, exactly as I like it. I would love to take a road trip on the US east coast: Philidelphia, Baltimore, New York, Washington DC and maybe a little bit Canada as well.

I love shopping in the USA! I usually go for make-up and shoes, but I this time I also bought a pair of Levi's Jeans (finally available in plus size!) a skirt and a top (which you can see in Fridays OOTD post). 

I also bought something very unlike me, or shoes is not unlike me, but sneakers/trainers!? I have not bought a pair of sneakers in over 10 years. But walking around Boston on the first day, I came to realise that, cute as they are, ballerinas are just not support enough for feet walking the pavement (read: shopping) for 8 straight hours... And so the hunt for a pair of cute sneakers went in. I found these very cute Adidas retro basket shoes in my favorite fall colour combination: black and grey and I think they will look great with a casual outfit with skinny jeans and a leather jacket.
